I'm sure it will come as no surprise to anyone that we are postponing the Play For Honour Volleyball Tournament scheduled for this summer. As with all tournaments of this type, planning takes place months in advance and we are simply not able to continue the process at this time.
Once the situation has cleared we will re-evaluate (depending on the timing) to determine if a hockey tournament can take place or if we'll wait for the 2021 season. I hope that everyone is doing as well as can be expected given the circumstances, and I will update you in the not too distant future!
Every year it costs Honour House Society, on average, $10,000 to operate and maintain each of its ten rooms. In our first year, we raised over $5,500. Year 2 was over $11,700 and last year we raised an amazing $16,000!
With your help, we can work towards sponsoring 2 rooms!
About Honour House Society
Honour House Society is a refuge, a home away from home. Canadian Forces personnel, emergency services personnel, and their families stay, completely free of charge, while they are receiving medical care and treatment in the Metro Vancouver area. Honour House receives no direct funding and raises all its operating costs through donations and fundraising. These brave individuals, along with their families, sacrifice so much on a daily basis to protect our freedom and our everyday way of life. Honour House allows us the opportunity to show them that we care, and how much we appreciate all that they do.
