I have always loved hockey and was finally lucky enough to start playing minor hockey just before I turned 15. I went to the Hockey Canada Skills Academy in Kelowna for three years as part of a pilot project to see if hockey and school could work hand in hand. These programs are now in many schools across BC. It was an amazing experience and made me a good hockey player but an even better person. I have been a member of the RCMP for eight years where I served in the Northwest Territories for five years working in 14 different communities. My last three years have been spent here in the Lower Mainland. I met Honour House Society through an event. It is nice to know this is there for first responders when they need it! This year is extra significant to me because one of my teammates from last years Charity tournament tragically passed away a couple months ago. He was an extremely nice and personable guy who was also passionate about giving back and supporting Honour House. This is my second year doing this and I'd love to help raise some more money for this wonderful cause!
